Tallulah Falls International Student Information

Tallulah Falls School is proud of its diverse student population and its international students who comprise approximately 15% of the student body.

We hope that you will find the information below useful. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Application Requirements

Interviews
We encourage all international students and their families to visit Tallulah Falls School, if possible. If you are not able to visit, we require you arrange a telephone interview with one of our Admission Representatives. To arrange a telephone interview please contact the Admissions Office.

Medical
All students must submit medical information to the school nurse as required in the admission packet. In addition, an annual TB skin test is required for all international students. Results must be reported to the school nurse prior to the student's arrival on campus. You may print the TB certificate by clicking here

Testing
We require that candidates submit scores for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Candidates applying for the 12th grade may take the SAT. For the international student who is comfortable with English the SSAT is offered at international locations in November, January and April. For more information, you may contact them directly:
International SSAT Fax 609-683-4507 (Princeton, NJ, USA)

For the foreign students whom English is not their first language may take the TOEFL in place of the SSAT or SAT. The Educational Testing Service (ETS), the organization that administers the TOEFL test, offers a computer-based test as an alternative to the paper-based exams. In most cases, Tallulah Falls School requires a minimum paper-based TOEFL score of 575, a minimum computer-based score of 230 or a minimum internet-based score of 90. You may contact the TOEFL organization directly:
TOEFL Telephone 609-771-7100 Fax 609-771-7500 (Princeton, NJ, USA)

Please note that the TOEFL is designed for college-bound students. Younger students may therefore be better off taking the SSAT. Students are welcome to take both the SSAT and the TOEFL if they desire.

Financial Aid
International admission at Tallulah Falls School is very competitive and very cost intensive for the school due to immigration regulations. Financial-aid is generally not available for non-U.S. citizens.

Academics and ESL
Some of our students experience academic adjustments. Those students who are not accustomed to taking all their courses in English generally spend a year taking ESL for academic support. The ESL Program offers small classes and individualized attention.
