Night Work Highlights Academic Building Construction - July 2

In a scene that can only be described as surreal, construction workers descended onto campus during the early morning hours of July 2 in order to pour the 17,000+ square foot slab for third floor of the new academic complex.  The classroom building was illuminated by a bank of powerful floodlights which cast eerie shadows across the scene.  Concrete began flowing into the massive pumpers by 4 am, and though the weather complicated matters, work continued nonetheless. A steady to heavy rain drenched the workers.  Most didn't seem to mind however, as it was a welcome respite from the sweltering heat of the past few weeks.
