TFS names Indians of the Week, August 15-20
Tallulah Falls School coaches have named their Indian “Athletes of the Week” for August 15-20. Two middle school and two varsity students were selected.
MIDDLE SCHOOL BOY
Collin Kelly, an eighth grader from Demorest, was selected as an Indian of the Week by middle school cross country coach Scott Neal. Neal stated, “Collin, a third year veteran of middle school cross country, quickly made the team ‘his.’ He is a strong leader, works out with a purpose, and genuinely connects with teammates. Whether via the warm up or his own determined running, Collin is a clear example of positive and influential leadership.”
MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRL
Eighth grader Sydney Coffee of Clarkesville was named an Indian of the Week by middle school coed soccer coach Zac Roland. Roland said, “Sydney has had an immediate impact on our team this year. Not only is she a skilled player but a quiet leader who earns the respect of her peers.”
UPPER SCHOOL BOY
Sophomore Will Jackson of Clarkesville was selected as an Indian of the Week by varsity cross country coach Scott Neal. Coach Neal stated, “Will was a Team Leader for the team’s annual camp out experience, an important bonding time and memory building experience. His planning, along with peer Caleb Griffis, provided ‘bread on a stick,’ ‘eggs in a bag,’ fishing, canoeing, ‘smores, and a fun camping experience.”
UPPER SCHOOL GIRL
Clarkesville junior Grace Brewer was named an Indian of the Week by varsity volleyball coach Allen Campbell. Brewer led the team with 76 digs. Coach Campbell stated, “In games vs. North Forsyth and North Gwinnett, Grace had 22 digs in an awesome defensive performance. She also served over 90%.”
