TFS middle school cross country team excels at North Ga Championships

Members of the Tallulah Falls School cross country team traveled to Jefferson August 27 to compete with 11 teams from across the area at the North Georgia Championships.

“The 3k, double loop course with arcs and straights, inclines and declines, and flags and chutes withstood hundreds of scurrying runners as they persevered an increase in both temperature, direct sunlight, and water vapor during their race,” said Athletic Director Scott Neal.

TFS runners placing in the top half included seventh grader Lucy Alexander of Sautee Nacoochee (21st of 168), seventh grader Maggie Peacock of Clarkesville (61st), and sixth grader Kate Trotter of Demorest (71st).  TFS placed 10th of the 11 scoring schools.  Eighth grader Ben Fisher of Clayton (39th of 181), eighth grader Collin Kelly of Demorest (46th), eighth grader Shepherd Roland of Cornelia (52nd), seventh grader Ethan Wanner of Toccoa (61st), sixth grader Tyler Farmer of Mt. Airy  (72nd), eighth grader Eli Sims of Clarkesville (78th), and sixth grader Lincoln Hall (81st) all finished in the top half.  TFS boys finished 8th of 10 scoring schools.
