TFS coaches select Indians of the Month

 
 

Tallulah Falls School coaches have selected their Indians of the Month for August.

MIDDLE SCHOOL BOY 

Ben Fisher, an eighth grader from Clayton, has been named a TFS Indian of the Month by middle school cross country coach Scott Neal. According to Neal, Fisher is the No. 1 middle school runner on this year’s team.  “Ben placed in the top 25 percent of both August harrier meets against tough competition.  He is a Team Leader whose example inspires his peers,” Neal said. 

 

MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRL

Middle school coed soccer coach Zac Roland selected seventh grader Honora Kahwach of Cleveland as an Indian of the Month.  “Honora is a very skilled soccer player who also serves as a coach on the field. She leads by example and encourages her teammates. She has the ability to control a game and keep everyone involved,” Roland said. “She makes the complicated look simple.”

VARSITY BOY

Sophomore Aaron Hughes of Demorest was named an Indian of the Week by varsity cross country coach Scott Neal. 

“Aaron began cross country meets in August even better than he finished last year,” Neal said. “After a solid summer of foundational running, he quickly emerged as the TFS No. 1 harrier with a 2016 personal record of 18:21.60 so far.  He had the top TFS finishes in every race in August.”  

VARSITY BOY

Freshman Ashley Crosby of Cornelia was selected by varsity volleyball coach Allen Campbell as Indian of the Month. “Ashley leads the team with 72 kills, and 17 blocks; she also has 20 aces and 22 digs. Although only a freshman, Ashley continues to contribute to the overall success of the team,” Campbell said.
