TFS coaches name Indians of the Week

Tallulah Falls School coaches have selected their Indian athletes of the week for December 12-17.

Jones

MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRL

Sixth grader Isabella Jones of Cleveland was named an Indian of the Week by middle school cheering coach Jenny Richardson. “Isabella works so hard in cheerleading and is a great role model,” Richardson said. “She always has a big smile on her face. Isabella has a positive attitude and a pleasant spirit.”

Jackson

MIDDLE SCHOOL BOY

Seventh grader Josh Jackson of Alto was selected by middle school basketball ‘B’ squad coach Paul Sweeney.  “Josh has come a long way since joining the ‘B’ team,” Sweeney said. “He works to make the team better while still improving his individual skills.  Josh is a team-oriented player and plays hard.”

Carver

VARSITY BOY

Sophomore Jake Carver of Demorest was named an Indian of the Week by TFS varsity basketball coach Jim Van Hooser. “Jake is slowly becoming an outstanding high school point guard,” Van Hooser said. “He had eight points at a critical time in our recent come-from-behind win over Riverside Military Academy.  Jake continues to improve every day at basketball and is a very hard worker in the classroom as well.”

James

VARSITY GIRL

Swim coach Annette Cochran selected sophomore Julia James of Clarkesville as an Indian of the Week. “Julia is a wonderful athlete and a good sport,” Cochran said. “She has been lowering her times and swam her personal best last meet. Julia pushes herself and the end results have really paid off. She is dedicated to the team while juggling chorus and drama, all while maintaining her grades.”
