TFS names Indians of the Week forĀ March 26-30, April 2-7
Tallulah Falls School coaches have selected their Indian athletes of the week for March 26-30 and April 2-7.
Middle School Girl
Eighth-grader Macy Murdock of Carnesville was named a TFS Indian of the Week by middle school track and field coach Scott Neal. “In a five-team track and field meet at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School and a triangular competition at Rabun County, Macy won the 400-meter, long jump and both relays twice,” said Neal. “She added a victory in the 200-meters at Rabun County. Macy practices diligently to prepare for success while seeking to help her team.”
Middle School Boy
Seventh-grader Dan Griswold of Demorest was selected as an Indian of the Week by middle school baseball coach Dustin Rogers. “Dan has been our most consistent player on defense to this point,” said Rogers. “He is very dependable at first base where he routinely scoops the low throws. Dan knows the game of baseball and has a bright future.”
Varsity Girl
Freshman Saniya Harrigan of Atlanta was named an Indian of the Week by varsity soccer coach Whitney Calloway. “Saniya entered a recent game against Murphy with 16 minutes left in the first half to play forward, a position she had never played before,” said Calloway. “Saniya played an excellent game and even scored a goal! We are looking forward to many more goals from her in the future.”
Varsity Boy
Junior Jake Carver of Demorest was selected as an Indian of the Week by varsity tennis coach Randy Morris. “Jake came to tennis later in the season after he completed basketball,” said Morris. “This is Jake’s first season as a varsity tennis player, and when he came to us he was pretty much a raw beginner. However, Jake has combined his God-given athletic talent with good old-fashioned hard work to move from the bottom of the 16-man roster to a varsity-lettering seventh position. He and his doubles partner Hagan Eubank have compiled an impressive 3-1 record.”
Varsity Boy
Tallulah Falls School varsity baseball coach Mark Wilcox named freshman Chathan Clouatre of Toccoa as his Indian of the Week for April 2-7. “Chathan has continued his outstanding play over the last month,” said Wilcox. “He has been a solid performer offensively and defensively for the entire season.”
