TFS coaches name Indians of the Week

Tallulah Falls School coaches have selected their Indian athletes of the week for August 20-25.

MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRL

Sixth-grader Mallory Higgins of Cornelia was chosen as an Indian of the Week by cross country coach Scott Neal. “Mallory embodies the essence of the cross country spirit,” Neal said. “Being new to the sport hasn’t deterred her tenacity to simply do her best every day.”

MIDDLE SCHOOL BOY

Sixth-grader Jackson Cording of Clarkesville was selected as an Indian of the Week by soccer coach Travis Mullis. “Jackson has a passion for service and is always at the head of the line to help others out,” Mullis said.  “Whether at practice, on a service project, or having fun on outings, Jackson gives his all to ensure the team, organization, the class or the individual has what is needed.”

VARSITY GIRL

Freshman Lucy Alexander of Sautee Nacoochee was named an Indian of the Week by cross country coach Scott Neal. “Lucy ran 23:59.06 to place 29th of 71 runners among nine scoring schools at the Wesleyan Cross Country Invite,” Neal said. “She set a 5K personal record and ran the second best first race of the season over the last 20-plus years at TFS.”

VARSITY BOY

Sophomore Chaz Mullis of Sautee Nacoochee was selected as an Indian of the Week by cross country coach Scott Neal. “Chaz cut off over five minutes on the same Wesleyan course since last year,” Neal said. “He placed 73rd out of 194 JV runners for the initial 5K race this season.”
