TFS varsity Indians beat King’s Ridge Christian in close contest

 
 

 In a Nov. 17 away game versus King’s Ridge Christian, the Tallulah Falls School varsity boys won 64-63.
According to coach Jim Van Hooser, the game showcased the growing confidence of the team.
“Trailing 63-61 with two seconds left in the game, Jake Carver took a long pass from Reeves Cody, took two dribbles and made a 3-point shot as the buzzer sounded to end the game, handing the Indians a second straight victory,” Van Hooser said. “Matthew Weidner had a monster game, scoring a career-high 32 points and pulling down 11 rebounds.  Each of the players contributed to the victory. Senior Jake Carver had a tremendous play at the end of the game to thrill the crowd.”

Junior Matthew Weidner of Clarkesville – 32 points, 11 rebounds
Senior Jake Carver of Clarkesville – 12 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists
Junior Hayden Johnson of Demorest – 12 points, 4 deflections, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
Junior Winston Davis  of Nassau Bahamas – 5 assists, 3 rebounds, 7 deflections and 3 steals
