 TFS varsity baseball team claims victory over Towns County

The Towns County Indians made the journey over Davis Gap yesterday to take on the Indians of Tallulah Falls School in a region match-up. TFS rebounded from a tough loss at Athens Christian to come away with a 5-2 victory.

“Junior Thomas Harris of Clarkesville had an outstanding game on the mound surrendering one run on only two hits through five innings of work,” said assistant coach Dustin Rogers. “Freshman Aubrey Higgins of Cornelia came in to register the save.”

Offensively, TFS was led by freshman Drew Bates of Clarkesville, Rogers said. 

“Drew reached base twice on a walk and a hit, driving home a run and later scoring,” Rogers said. “Drew is blessed with a smooth swing seen in so many left-handed hitters.”
