Habersham Rotary awards scholarship to TFS senior
An accomplished member of the Tallulah Falls School Class of 2019 has been recognized by the Rotary Club of Habersham County Scholarship Foundation.
Taylor Huling of Mt. Airy was presented the scholarship at the May 2 Rotary Club meeting.
“We are proud of Taylor and appreciate the local Rotary Club’s support of academic excellence,” said President and Head of School Larry A. Peevy. “This award goes beyond the financial impact – it demonstrates the support of the entire community as our local students continue their education.”
Huling is planning to attend Berry College to pursue an English degree.
“I hope to work with editing and publishing in the future, specifically for book publishers. I have always loved helping others and I love the satisfaction of correcting grammar and spelling errors,” Huling said. “A position in editing feels like the right path for me.”
While at TFS, Huling was a member of the swim team and soccer team and was involved in the school’s theater program.
