TFS coaches name Indians of the Week for April 29-May 4

 
 

 

Tallulah Falls School coaches have selected two varsity athletes as Indians of the Week for the week of April 29-May 4.

VARSITY GIRL

Senior Damali Danavall of Jonesboro was named an Indian of the Week by varsity track & field coach Scott Neal. “Damali is the Area 2A-Private discus champion with a personal record heave of 105’ 2” and also the shot put runner up,” Neal said. “Mali also placed seventh in the 100m and helped the 4x1 relay to place third in a school record-setting performance. Damali will compete at the state championships in both throws and in the relay. This will be Damali’s third year in a row to compete at the Berry College campus for the pinnacle meet of the season.”   

VARSITY BOY

Sophomore Grey Bourlet of Tallulah Falls was selected as an Indian of the Week by track & field coach Scott Neal. “Grey was the boys' high point runner-up with 26.25 points at the Area 2A-Private track & field championships,” Neal said. “He won the 300m hurdles, was the runner-up in the 110m hurdles, placed third in the pole vault, the 4x4 relay team earn fourth place and the 4x1 relay team finish sixth. Grey is going to the state championships in all three individual events plus the longer relay. He is now #2 on the TFS Legacy List in both hurdle races and tied for No. 2 in the pole vault. This will be Grey’s second year to compete in both hurdles at state.”
