TFS coaches name Indians of the Week

Tallulah Falls School coaches have selected their Indian athletes of the week for May 6-11.

VARSITY GIRL

Senior Sydney Spivey of Demorest was named an Indian of the Week by track & field coach Scott Neal. “Sydney was recently named a Northeast Georgia Positive Athlete award recipient,” Neal said. “Her high school track & field career culminated with a school record in the 4x1 relay, a third-place 100m performance and a No. 3 TFS Legacy List 4x4 sixth-place finish to lead the Lady Indians with 7.25 points. Sydney’s performance helped the team finish 16th at the state championships at Berry College last week.”

VARSITY BOY

Senior Chance Bess of Tampa, Florida was named an Indian of the Week by track & field coach Scott Neal. “Chance, one of our team captains, placed sixth in an incredibly competitive state championship discus competition by heaving the saucer beyond his personal best – four times,” Neal said. “Chance put all his nerves to rest on the first throw and then commandeered the platter to keep going a little further, finishing 12 feet beyond his best throw from last year.”
