Tallulah Falls School coaches have selected Indian Athletes of the Week for Nov. 11-16.

MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRL

Eighth-grader Keygan Antosiak of Clayton was named an Indian of the Week by middle school girls’ basketball coach Sharae Long. “Keygan has worked hard from day one,” Long said. “She is a multi-sport athlete, juggling both sports and academics. Keygan has a great attitude and encourages her teammates both at practice and during the games. She played big minutes in the win over White Creek Christian Academy, adding a spark on the court.”

MIDDLE SCHOOL BOY

Seventh-grader Wyatt Franks of Lula was selected as an Indian of the Week by middle school boys basketball coach Anthony Cox. “Wyatt always works hard and practices and demonstrates a willingness and desire to get better,” Cox said. “Those efforts were rewarded in our first games this season, a 41-23 victory over White Creek Christian Academy. Wyatt scored a team and career-high 10 points in the contest.”

VARSITY GIRL

Senior Lillie Free of Clarkesville was named an Indian of the Week by varsity girls’ basketball coach Brandy Corbett. “Over a three-game stretch, Lillie totaled 49 points, pulled in 13 rebounds and averaged 3.7 assists, 3.7 deflections, and 1.7 steals per game,” Corbett said. “In a very physical and up-tempo game against the Galloway Scots, Lille scored a career-high 24 points with four three-pointers, shooting 57% from the three-point line. Lillie has been working extremely hard in practice and is a sound leader and team captain. She continually models great effort and encourages our young team.”

VARSITY BOY

Senior Matthew Weidner was selected as an Indian of the Week by varsity boys’ basketball coach Cody Coleman. “Matthew started the 2019-20 regular season with an excellent individual performance against Galloway School,” Coleman said. “Throughout the entire game, Matthew played with high energy and poise. He scored 22 points and recorded 10 rebounds, which led the team in both categories.”
