Star golfer Brinson Hall inks with Troy University
Tallulah Falls School senior golf standout Brinson Hall signed her letter of intent with Troy University on Wednesday afternoon at TFS, just days after making her verbal commitment.
Hall signed a national letter of intent to compete in golf for the cardinal, silver, and black Troy University Trojans (NCAA Division I – Sunbelt Conference) in Troy, AL. While she still has a year to go at Tallulah Falls, Troy is already anticipating the addition of Hall in the near future.
"We are very excited to add Brinson to our program," says Troy golf coach Randy Keck. "She brings a strong resume and work ethic that will fit very well with what we do here at Troy. She is not afraid of hard work and has competed at a very high level. She will add depth to our line up and should come in and make an immediate impact."
TFS golf coach Allen Campbell echoes that sentiment about his senior.
"Brinson is a coach's dream," says Campbell. "Hard-working, dedicated, and a highly competitive spirit. She pushes herself to get better every day and has the drive, maturity and self-discipline to make it happen. I have watched her grow as a golfer and a person since middle school and she continues to impress me with each passing year. She is a team player, that is just as concerned for her teammates as with herself. She is heavily involved with all aspects of the school's extracurricular activities and in community service. I am so proud of all her accomplishments and excited to see what she can do at Troy University."
Athletic Director Scott Neal said Hall’s significance in the golf program will be felt long into the future.
“Brinson has represented herself, her family, her sport and TFS with distinct character, exemplary work ethic, and poise throughout her stellar golf career," says Neal. "She is known to be a loyal friend and teammate, an intelligent young lady who seeks to connect people, and a true blessing to all who know her.”
Hall is the latest of three TFS seniors to pen letters of intent with D-I colleges, joining teammate Maggie Jackson (Wofford, Golf) and Katy Corbett (Mercer, Beach Volleyball).
