TFS names Middle School Students of the Month for March
Tallulah Falls School students may be learning remotely but that didn’t stop middle school teachers from delivering good news to the Students of the Month for March.
On April 2, teachers surprised five outstanding students with smiles and yard signs.
“While online learning has many positive qualities, one of its weaknesses is the lack of face-to-face connection. We thought it would be a special surprise to recognize our Students of the Month in a way that would provide a brief glimpse of that connection that our TFS faculty work so hard to maintain,” said Middle School Academic Dean David Chester. “The smiles on the faces of our students and the excitement of our teachers as they delivered the signs were priceless. It was a special time for all of them as they head into Spring Break.”
The fifth-grade student of the month is Caylin Tucker of Demorest.
Caylin was selected for her strong work ethic. She always comes into school with a smile. Caylin is always kind to other students and her teacher. We are proud of Caylin!
The sixth-grade student of the month is Sarah Lundy of Clarkesville.
Sarah Lundy was selected as the sixth-grade student of the month because of her work ethic and her positive character traits. She strives to do her best in all assignments and consistently produces quality work. She is kind to her peers and is very respectful. Daily, Sarah thanks her teachers for having her in class.
The seventh-grade student of the month is Rylee Vandiver of Toccoa.
Rylee is an extremely conscientious, detail-oriented student and she always aims to please. She is dependable and helpful and has exhibited these characteristics by being an incredible source of information and support for the seventh-grade teachers during the transition to online classes. She is a leader and has provided helpful feedback to teachers from the student perspective.
There are two eighth-grade students of the month for March – Mia Heyl of Toccoa and Sam Ketch of Clarkesville.
The eighth-grade teachers selected Mia Heyl because she consistently shows kindness to everyone she meets, demonstrates respect and exhibits diligence in her academic work.
The eighth-grade teachers selected Sam Ketch because he is a positive leader in the eighth-grade community, he is very responsible with his work and he shows respect to everyone.
