Boys basketball takes two wins over visiting Prince Ave

The Indians varsity and JV boys basketball teams hosted Prince Avenue Christian on Saturday with both teams taking wins.

JV

The JV team defeated Prince Avenue 51-48 in a thriller, earning a second win in as many nights. The Indians moved to 8-0 on the season, and saw the usual suspects Gavin Page (22 points) and Diego Crotta (15) do much of the damage offensively.

Varsity

The varsity Indians also edged out PAC, winning 54-48 in a hard-fought region 8-A opener. Gabe Keene led the way with 12 points.

"We competed hard against a team who shot very well," says coach Cody Coleman. "I am proud of the way we were able to finish strong, helping us earn a key win in early region play."

The #10-ranked TFS team is now 8-2 overall on the season and 1-0 in region play.
