Indians of the Week for week ending January 23

The Indians of the Week are chosen by coaches, and recognize student-athletes that play sports that are currently in season. This week's Indians of the Week (for the week of January 18-23) include Katy Corbett and Devonte Allen for high school, and Zoie Kelly and Tanner Davis for middle school. PAST INDIANS OF THE WEEK

Katy Corbett - Basketball

High School Girl

In a tough week involving two important region games on the road and another game against sixth-ranked Galloway, senior Katy Corbett was consistently strong. Averaging 13 points a game, six rebounds, two assists, and almost three deflections a game, Katy scored a game-high of 19 points against Galloway. Katy stepped up as the point guard when we needed her to be assertive. Her willingness to score off the dribble drive and in the paint shows her desire to continue to improve as a player. We are proud of her leadership and the priority she places on being a senior who wants to continue to get better.

Devonte Allen - Basketball

High School Boy

Devonte Allen was instrumental in the victory over Prince Avenue. In the game, Devonte calculated 13 points, 9 rebounds. Additionally, Devonte played incredible defense helping the Indians defeat the region's opponent.

Zoie Kelly - Cheerleading

Middle School Girl

Zoie Kelly has taken the challenge of helping me coach the cheerleaders on jump techniques. She also encourages the girls when learning new dances. During games and practices, she is loud and positive. I can hear her on the other side of the gym! She is also an excellent cheerleader and shares her skills from competition cheer.
