Varsity girls fall to Trinity Christian
CHAZ MULLIS - The Lady Indians lost a tough match to guest Trinity Christian on Tuesday night. This marks the second engagement between the two squads and the second win for Trinity Christian against the varsity girls.
The Lions controlled the game for both halves with scores of 18-24 at the end of the first and 40-49 and the end of the second. Katy Corbett was the only scorer in the second quarter, racking up 12 points on her own.
Corbett scored the most during the matchup with a total of 17. Other notable scorers included Denika Lightbourne with 9 points and Veronaye Charlton with 8 points.
The Lady Indians are currently 11-6 and will play against Athens Academy at home on Friday.
