MS boys slide past Rabun Gap to claim Tri-State title

 
 

The MS boys basketball team slid past Rabun Gap on Monday night, 36-28, laying claim to the Tri-State Championship outright.

The Indians trailed the visitors 11-7 after the first quarter of play, but went off with a 17-point second quarter to go up 24-13. The defense held Rabun Gap to just two second quarter points. After the third, TFS was up 27-22. 

The Indians outscored Rabun Gap 9-6 in the final quarter to finish off the 36-28 game and claim the championship.

Tanner Davis led with 11 points, while KC Respress chipped in with eight and Jackson Carlan and Chase Pollock had five apiece. Zach Carringer added three, and Teryk Tilley and Clay Kafsky each had two. 

TFS finished the season with a 7-2 mark.
