Indians of the Week for week ending March 20

The Indians of the Week are chosen by coaches, and recognize student-athletes that play sports that are currently in season. This week's Indians of the Week (for the week of March 15-20) include Grace Kim and Chathan Clouatre for high school, and LB Kafsky and Jackson Cording for middle school. PAST INDIANS OF THE WEEK

Grace Kim - Soccer

High School Girl

Senior Grace Kim is the Lady Indians Soccer nominee for Indian of the Week. A fierce player on the field, Grace exhibits her namesake in every other way. Scoring several times this season, she works tirelessly to help her team win. Coming off the pitch with a bloody nose during the Rabun County match, her comment to me was, “Coach, I can go back in whenever you need me to.” One of the favorites of all classes, Grace is able to connect amiably with both the freshmen and her senior counterparts. And, this is probably the main reason I want her to be recognized as Indian of the Week.

Chathan Clouatre - Baseball

High School Boy

Chathan Clouatre was the senior leader TFS needed him to be last week in a pivotal 3-game series against region opponents Loganville Christian. Across the three games, Chathan went 4-for-11 (.364 average) with five RBI, four runs scored, and a double and two triples along with three stolen bases. He also pitched a complete game one-hitter in which he struck out 11 batters while picking up the win. Chathan is more than deserving of this honor!

LB Kafsky - Soccer

Middle School Girl

6th grader Laurel Blake “LB” Kafsky is a solid addition to the middle school girls soccer program this year. LB plays several different positions on the field, including goalkeeper and striker. Her feistiness and skill set has earned her a starting position in every match, along with full-duration playing time. She is a team player, and her teammates appreciate the trustworthiness she brings when playing next to them. The coaches appreciate her excellent attitude, work ethic, and fearlessness. LB is a stand-out and a joy to watch. TFS soccer is glad to have her, and we look forward to watching her grow with the program!

Jackson Cording - Soccer

Middle School Boy

Always positive and energetic, Jackson Cording holds down the middle school soccer team's right-back position. More importantly, Jackson is a consummate team player. Daily he demonstrates a selfless, team-first attitude, while his infectious energy continually lifts his teammates. In addition to his play, he constantly encourages those around him regardless of the situation or circumstances. Through his actions, Jackson creates an environment of synergy.
