Indians take season series over George Walton in 6-3 win
The Indians took the rubber match against George Walton, winning the season series with a 6-3 win on Friday night on the road.
Trent Thomas picked up the win while going five innings and allowing three earned runs. TFS jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first on RBI groundouts by Thomas and Cainan Yaskiewicz. Frankey Moree singled home the other run.
The Indians added another in the second as a run scored on a double play groundout. George Walton got one back in the bottom of the third, then scored two more in the fifth to make it a 4-3 game.
Back-to-back RBI doubles by Chathan Clouatre and Thomas gave TFS the 6-3 lead and eventual win.
Clouatre and Tyler Popham had two hits apiece, while Thomas led with two RBI. Aidan Gragg picked up the two-inning save, as TFS moves to 10-4 overall and 5-1 in region play.
