Jackson, Hall set school record in second place finish at Apple Mountain

 
 

The TFS Lady Indians finished second in a tri-match against White County and Habersham Central at Apple Mountain in Clarkesville on Tuesday afternoon.

Maggie Jackson tied the school 9-hole record of 36, while Brinson Hall was right behind with a 37. They finished second and third, respectively as White County as a team won the match. However, Jackson, Hall and sophomore Hannah Lundy were ahead by 10 strokes over Habersham Central.

Jackson and Hall set a new 2-score record for a 9-hole match of 73. Lundy shot a 60 to give the team a 133 total score. The tandem of Jackson/Hall beat the previous 2-score record by a single stroke.

The girls return to the course again at Apple Mountain on Saturday.
