Indians of the Week for week ending April 17

 
 

The Indians of the Week are chosen by coaches, and recognize student-athletes that play sports that are currently in season. This week's Indians of the Week (for the week of April 12-17) include Cassidy Hayes and Max Farris for high school and Miah Gragg and Wyatt Dorsey for middle school. PAST INDIANS OF THE WEEK

Cassidy Hayes - Tennis

High School Girl

Cassidy Hayes has been a solid rock for the Lady Indians this year in support as well as play. She is a constant example of encouragement, work ethics, and integrity. Over the course of the year, Cassidy has worked diligently to acquire a 12-2 overall record. The last win over a very talented region opponent sealing an important victory in our region tournament. Cassidy is well admired by her teammates and coaches as well. Congratulations Cassidy on your outstanding achievements.

Max Farris - Soccer

High School Boy

Max Farris continues to show leadership on and off the field. During our games this week, Max broke the school scoring record, achieving 24 goals in one season, as well as breaking the school assist record, achieving 14 assists in one season. He has been a blessing to the varsity soccer program both in play and character!

Miah Gragg - Soccer

Middle School Girl

8th grader Miah Gragg has made an incredible impact on the middle school girls soccer team. She has proven to be a coachable, yet powerful leader on the team. Since the beginning of the season, she has made incredible improvements with her stamina, footwork, and skills. She progressed from a 30 minutes of playing time to being a starter and 60 minute player. She’s one of the the best communicators on the team and her leadership  encouragement, and direction on the field will be a huge benefit to the varsity squad next year. Congratulations to Miah!

Wyatt Dorsey - Baseball

Middle School Boy

Wyatt Dorsey had an awesome final week for the Indians where he contributed with 7 total hits and 4 stolen bases. Wyatt also showed great leadership by encouraging his teammates continuously during the games. Wyatt is only a seventh grader but led the teams in hits for the season. He has a bright future ahead of him at TFS.
