State Preview: Jackson, Hall look to go out on top

The Lady Indians hit the links for the final time in 2021 in the GHSA 1A Private State Championships at Heritage Golf Links, hosted by Holy Innocents. The TFS golf team, led by seniors Maggie Jackson and Brinson Hall, along with sophomore Hannah Lundy, play Monday and Tuesday in the state championship.

TFS is poised to very well be in the mix for the state title, as both Jackson and Hall are individual low medalist contendors. The program is seeking to finish in the top 10 or better for the fifth time. The highest-ever finish for the girls came in 2018 in Jackson's and Hall's freshman season, when TFS came in third.

The following season (2019) saw the girls post a fourth-place finish. Overall, this marks the sixth state tournament appearance for the girls team. Jackson finished sixth individually in 2019, while Hall has twice been in the top-10 (7th in '19; 9th in '18).

The girls tee off Monday afternoon, with the state championship counting two scores out of the the three golfers.
