Jackson ties for sixth in GSGA Girls Championship

Maggie Jackson carded a 223 across three days, good for sixth individually in the GSGA Girls Championship in Valdosta from June 21-23. Jackson progressively improved throughout the tournament, shooting a 76 in the opening round, a 74 in the second round and a 73 in the final round.

Her score was good for a three-way tie for sixth overall, as she finished 7-over par in the tournament. Overall, Jackson was six strokes behind the champion. The tournament took place at Valdosta Country Club, and has been held annually since 1980. Jackson's score of 223 was better than 16 of the historical event champions.
