Indians of the Month: November 2021

Tallulah Falls School has named its Indians of the Month winners for November 2021. The winners are Kylee Loudermilk and Evan Prince for the high school, and Emily Cai and Macade Huff for the middle school. PAST INDIANS OF THE MONTH

Kylee Loudermilk - Precision Rifle

HS Girl

Our female Indian of the Month is freshman Kylee Loudermilk. In a rebuilding year, she is a first-round draft pick. She is highly motivated and inspires her teammates. Leading her team to victory against North Forsyth she shot a 289, the highest score of the match tying the school record. She was only three points shy of shooting an individual automatic in for the GHSA State Championship as a freshman in her first match!! -coach Katie Keister

Evan Prince - Cross Country

HS Boy

Senior Captain Evan Prince, in his third state meet in a row as an Indian, placed third out of 201 harriers in a course best time of 16:45.07, which ranked him 24th out of 1649 overall amongst the eight races in two days.  Despite an injury that kept him from running much - he only ran approximately 20 miles in the last three weeks (compared to what he and the elite normally run - about 120-150 miles during the same time), yet cross trained in the pool and on the bikes, rower, and ski erg with even more determination, he overcame what would have buried others.  He followed his state meet effort with a 19th place finish (16:03.73) at the prestigious Meet of Champions, an all classification all star meet. Evan is known throughout all classifications in Georgia for his legacy of work ethic, confidence, and elite level discomfort threshold. -coach Scott Neal

Emily Cai - Basketball

MS Girl

Indian of the Month is Emily Cai. Emily came into this season with no previous basketball experience and has become a dominant force for the Lady Indians. Emily is currently the leading scorer, but more importantly, she is averaging 16 rebounds a game. Hustling is not just something Emily does, it's her way of life. She is not only a hard worker, but she plays like every single moment matters. Emily is a coachable player, an awesome teammate, and a leader by example. She has a bright season ahead of her! -coach Jennifer Cox

Macade Huff - Basketball

MS Boy

The Indian of the Month for Middle School Boys Basketball is sixth-grader Macade Huff. Since practice started in October, Macade has been a leader with effort and energy. Over the course of the first three games of the season, Macade has averaged 13.7 ppg on 47.1% shooting (scoring 17 and 18 points in the last two games-both victories), four rebounds, and 2.7 steals. In the last game, a victory over the much older Woody Gap team, with the Indians leading by just five at the half, Macade scored a dozen points in the third quarter to help the team pull away. More important than his statistical contributions, Macade has had an exceptional attitude and approach, encouraging his teammates with positivity and not one negative word or complaint. He's always excited to practice and competes in drills and sprints as well as anyone on the team. Congratulations to Macade on a great start to the season, and we look forward to his continued growth the rest of the way. -coach Anthony Cox
