Lady Indians cap season with 6-1 win on senior night

The Tallulah Falls Lady Indians played their final match of the 2022 season at home on Thursday night against Athens Christian, and went out with a 6-1 win on senior night.

In a game that honored seniors Honora Kahwach, Tamia Moss, Mara Radovic, and Kat Williams, the girls never wavered in the win. Kahwach finished her career with a hat trick, notching 3 goals. Addie Higbie, Williams, and freshman Gemma Farris added goals for the Lady Indians.

A short-handed Athens Christian team fielded just 11, and played very well, while TFS was able to get everyone present into the game. Tessa Foor helped generate a goal with a throw-in assist, while also Kahwach and Moss tallied assists.

The Lady Indians finish the season with an 11-5 record, which marks the most wins in school history for girls soccer. The team finishes as the region runner-up for the second straight season, and qualified for the state playoffs. Other records set by this team include 68 goals on the season, and an 8-game win streak throughout the season. While the offense accumulated records, the defense was phenomenal with 6 clean sheets on the season.

Kahwach's 19 goals on the season gave her 35 for her career, which holds as the TFS all-time goals mark. Meanwhile, Higbie's 21 goals is the school record for a single season.
