Indians of the Month: April 2022

 
 

Tallulah Falls School has named its Indians of the Month winners for April 2022. The winners are Ashli Webb and Joseph McGahee for the high school, and Carsyn Griffis and Charlie Harris for the middle school. PAST INDIANS OF THE MONTH

Ashli Webb - Tennis

HS Girl

 In the regions, Ashli Webb battled through an injury to help the Lady Indians achieve back-to-back state qualifying honors. In the state playoffs, she took on a very talented opponent and emerged victoriously. Ashli has been a solid rock for the Lady Indians to build a successful season on. Her work ethic was an inspiration to everyone that saw her. Ashli is a senior and an amazing leader who is easily followed. Congratulations Ashli. -coach Randy Morris

Joseph McGahee - Precision Rifle

HS Boy

Joseph McGahee is an extremely hard-working athlete who focuses on perfecting the little things which make him truly exceptional. Joseph is a dedicated team player that is constantly looking to help others on and off the range. At the State Championship, when others were affected by the stress of that level of competition, he rose to the occasion and shot a TFS record score of 292. His performance not only propelled the team to 9th in the State 1A-7A but ranked him 7th in Georgia among 1200 rifle athletes! -coach Katie Keister

Carsyn Griffis - Track & Field

MS Girl

Carsyn Griffis won the girls discus in a significant personal record (58-9) and placed third in the shot put, 800m, and 1600m to help lead the team to the Tri State Track & Field Championship. She will try whatever to help the team score points, will set aside personal goals for the greater good, and will work to earn success, never wanting something given to her. A three-sport athlete that is at the center of each of her teams, she leads by example as well as vocally when needed. Carsyn demonstrates perspective, chooses wisely, and activates GREAT in her own life as she seeks to be a spark for others.  She is respected and appreciated by her peers. -coach Scott Neal

Charlie Harris - Track & Field

MS Boy

Charlie Harris saved his best meet for last. At the Tri State T&F Championship, he won the discus with a whopping 20 foot personal record (102-6), placed second in the shot put with a 3' 8" PR (32' 9 1/2), was on the winning 4x200m relay, and placed 5th in the 400m. A three-sport athlete, Charlie is the soul of each of his teams, a true encourager, unafraid of failure.  Charlie is loud, proud, and positive; and a positive influence! -coach Scott Neal
