Alumni Success Story: Harry Ward '17

Harry Ward (’17) lives in Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated from Anderson University in 2022 with a B.S. in kinesiology and a minor in biomedical sciences. A standout on the men’s soccer team for five years, he served as captain in 2019, was named to the coaches’ NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region Team, and earned multiple All-Conference and Players’ Player of the Year honors.

Harry is currently a third-year medical student at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM), completing clinical rotations in Jacksonville, Florida, and is on track to graduate in 2027. Upon graduation, he plans to enter a surgical residency to specialize as a surgeon. In addition to his medical degree, Harry is pursuing a master’s in medical education through LECOM, which he will also complete in 2027.

During his time at LECOM, Harry has been actively involved in student leadership and mentorship. He has served on the boards of the Student Government Association and the Student Research Association and participates in LECOM’s mentorship program, where he guides two students in the year below him. He has also earned certification as an Emergency Medical Technician, adding practical, hands-on experience to his medical training.
