Alumni Success Story: Elijah Clouatre '18

Elijah Clouatre (’18) pursued a career that eventually led him to SpaceX. After graduating from TFS, he studied physics at the University of North Georgia before transferring to the Georgia Institute of Technology to study aerospace engineering. During his time there, he also worked at the Georgia Tech Research Institute, where he gained research experience working on propulsion systems for drone technology.

Today, Clouatre works as a propulsion engineer at SpaceX on the Starship program, one of the most ambitious rocket projects in development. His team helps ensure that engines arriving at SpaceX’s Starbase facility are in proper condition before they are installed on the rocket. He works closely with technicians as the vehicles prepare for testing and launch. Clouatre is excited to contribute to technology that will eventually carry humans to the moon and Mars.
