“One Turtle, One Ecosystem: Seventh Graders Learn the Big Impact of Habitat Fragmentation”

What is habitat fragmentation? Our seventh graders can tell you. Building on what they’re learning in their classes, they spent the day at Fernbank Museum of Natural History diving deeper into the topic. They met animals affected by fragmentation and learned how one turtle’s well-being can impact an entire ecosystem, and, of course, explored multiple hands-on exhibits throughout the museum. Real-world learning + unforgettable experiences = science that sticks.
