Tallulah Falls School Celebrates Community at Second Annual Light in the Mountains Festival

TFS held the second annual Light in the Mountains Festival – a delightful afternoon of face painting, games, hay rides, delicious food, and time together. Classes ending early, allowing students from all grade levels to enjoy a full slate of activities. The athletic fields were transformed into an arena of fun, featuring inflatables, a dunk tank, classic games like cornhole, ladder ball, and soccer challenges.

Families and students delighted in face painting hosted by the National Art Society, while the National Honor Society hosted a cake walk, generously supported by local businesses Sugartopia and Farmhouse Pound Cakes, as well as parent-donated baked goods. TFS’s International Thespian Society created a Haunted Hay Ride, complete with ghost stories and surprises hidden in the bushes.

Food trucks added to the festive atmosphere, with TNT Tacos, 1909 Smoke House (TFS’  BBQ team), and Kona Ice.

“This festival is about more than just fun—it’s about celebrating the spirit of our community and bringing our students, families, and faculty together in one place,” said student activities director, Ashley Dillingham. “Light in the Mountains has become a tradition that embodies the heart of our school.”

The second annual Light in the Mountains Festival was a testament to TFS’s commitment to fostering community, creativity, and connection across its campus.
