TFS Receives Generous Gift from Habersham Electric Membership Corporation for STEM Lab Project
TFS recently received a generous gift from Habersham Electric Membership Corporation in support of the school’s new STEM Lab project, an innovative space designed to inspire the next generation of creators, engineers, and problem-solvers.

President and CEO of HEMC Bryan Ferguson presents President and Head of School Dr. Larry A. Peevy with a generous gift for the STEM Lab project.
The state-of-the-art, 1,800-square-foot STEM Lab is currently being built to encourage collaboration, exploration, and hands-on learning. Planned features include engineering and robotics workstations, a coding hub, a dedicated drone flight zone where students can develop real-world technical skills and become certified drone operators, and instruction in cybersecurity and AI, all in an engaging environment.
Wireless charging for tools and devices will further enhance the lab’s functionality, removing barriers between imagination and execution so students can focus on creating, experimenting, and innovating.
President and Head of School Dr. Larry A Peevy explains that the STEM Lab will position TFS as a regional hub of STEM excellence, connecting students with industry leaders, mentorship opportunities, and experiential learning that prepares them for future careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
“The generous support from Habersham Electric Membership Corporation represents an investment not only in our students, but in the future of our region,” said Peevy. “This lab will be a place where innovation takes flight and where tomorrow’s leaders begin building solutions for the world ahead.”
The school expressed gratitude for the partnership and commitment shown by Habersham Electric Membership Corporation in helping make the vision a reality.
Through gifts like this, supporters are helping build the next generation of innovators, engineers, and problem-solvers—right here at Tallulah Falls School.
