Academic Classes
Eighth-grade students receive instruction in pre-algebra or honors algebra 1, physical science, language arts, and social studies. Honors algebra 1 and physical science can be taken for high school credit. The eighth-grade schedule is a modified version of the upper school schedule, with academics meeting on a rotating basis.
Exploratory Classes
Eighth grade students also have some choice in their exploratory classes. They have the option of participating in choir, instrumental music, performance drama, TOME, and studio art. Students also rotate through stagecraft, art, media production, and physical education. Spanish is offered for high school credit. Eighth grade students can also apply to be part of the middle school yearbook staff.
