Varsity Indians soccer team wins over Highlands



Tallulah Falls School varsity boys' soccer team won an Oct. 2 home match versus Highlands with a final score of 2-1.

Highlights include five shots on the goal with four saves by TFS sophomore Cainan Yaskiewicz of Highlands, NC, one assist by TFS junior Samuel Dunlap of Lakemont, GA, a direct kick to the to goal by TFS sophomore Sammy Davis, Jr. of the Bahamas and a second goal shot by TFS junior Babatomiwa Sofela of Nigeria.

“One of the of the most difficult score lines to maintain is a 2-0 lead,” said coach Brett Adams. “After going up two goals we struggled to maintain composure and conceded one goal before half-time, further challenging ourselves with a second-half battle. We weathered several momentum shifts, proved our metal, defended as a team, and generated several more offensive opportunities. In the end, we executed a solid match and came out on top. “
