TFS ladies golf conclude strong regular season

The Tallulah Falls School ladies golf team finished their regular season slate with a strong finish at the two-day Woodward Invitational, held April 26-27.

The Lady Indians finished fourth of 14 strong programs, according to TFS coach Allen Campbell.

Sophomores Maggie Jackson of Clarkesville and Brinson Hall of Mt. Airy led the way with stellar rounds. Jackson had a two-day total of 162 (83, 79) which earned her an eighth-place finish out of 60 competitors and tied the school record set by teammate Hall in the state tournament last season.

Hall was right on her heels finishing with a 165 (86, 79) and an 11th place finish.

Sophomore Selah Anderson of Clarkesville shot 190 for the tournament (95, 95).

Campbell’s team finished the regular season with one championship, two top-5 finishes and one top-10 finish. The team also improved their three-year regular season record to 27-1.
The team heads into the Area tournament in Athens next and if they qualify they will head to the state tournament in Columbus the third week of May.
