Tallulah Falls School to offer baseball, tennis camps

 
 

Tallulah Falls School will offer two free summer sports camps – baseball and tennis.
TFS coaches and players will work with campers on skill building. Details are as follows:

Baseball

May 28-31
Ages 6-14 | 9 a.m.-noon
Higgins Baseball Complex – main campus

Learn to play or hone your skills at the TFS youth baseball camp. Coaches and varsity players will help develop skills through drills and play.

Camp highlights:

All aspects of offensive and defensive baseball to include:  Hitting, bunting, pitch selection, base running, sliding, fielding and throwing. For more advanced players, defensive drills may be more position-specific if the camper wishes.

  • Wiffle ball games
  • Races
  • Slip and slide
  • More fun games

Campers should bring their glove and any other baseball gear they use. Water will be available to campers at all times. Powerade and snacks will be available for purchase during breaks. On Friday at 11:15 a.m. campers will be provided lunch (hotdogs, chips and a drink).

Tennis

June 3-7
Ages 10-15 | 8:30 a.m.-11 a.m.
TFS Tennis Courts – main campus 

Learn to play or hone your skills at the TFS youth tennis camp. Coaches and varsity players will help develop skills through drills and play.

Camp highlights:

  • Proper footwork
  • Forehand
  • Backhand
  • Drop shot
  • Serving
  • Serve and volley
  • Scorekeeping
  • Competitive matches

Campers should bring a tennis racket. Campers without a racket will be provided one. Tennis shoes are a requirement. Water will be available to campers at all times. Water and a snack will be provided at a 10 a.m. break, or campers are welcome to bring a snack if preferred. Space is limited to the first 20 applicants.
