Varsity volleyball sweeps first tri-match of 2019 season

On Aug. 14, the Tallulah Falls School varsity volleyball team was able to sweep East Jackson and Lake Oconee Academy, each 2-0, in their first tri-match of the season. 
The Lady Indians came back from a large deficit in the first set against East Jackson, and we’re able to win the first set 25-21. 
“Backing up the comeback was Sarah Jennings’ serving,” said coach Matt Heyl. 
TFS used the momentum from the comeback in the first set to handily win the second, 25-10. 
From there, the Lady Indians went on to play Lake Oconee. TFS was able to sweep the second match as well, winning 25-13 and 25-8. 
The Lady Indians are now 5-2 on the season, and are currently No. 7 in A-Private in ajc.com’s latest ranking. 

JV volleyball team builds momentum for season

The Tallulah Falls School JV volleyball team lost its first match of the season to East Jackson, 2-0.   
“The team showed a lot of improvement throughout the match and helped us identify areas that need further work. Junior Hannah Hunt of Toccoa and sophomore Nancy Fisher of Clarkessville played with great determination and proudly led the Lady Indians throughout the match,” said coach Matt Crotta. “Thank you to the fans and parents for cheering us on!” 
After getting off to a sluggish start, the Lady Indians showcased moments that displayed potential for the 2019 season, Crotta added. 
TFS lost the first set 25-17, but bounced back with more energy in the second set, with a score of 25-21
