Former TFS swimmers excel at Smith College

2019 Tallulah Falls School graduates Virginia and Norah Griswold of Clarkesville are continuing their education at Smith College while swimming for the Pioneers.

At four recent meets, Virginia placed first in the 400-yard medley relay, first in 400-yard freestyle relay, first in 100-yard backstroke (1:06.03), fifth in the 200-yard butterfly (2:29.25), third in 500-yard freestyle (5:50.06) and third in the 200-yard freestyle (2:09.67).

In the same four meets, Norah placed fifth in the 200-yard freestyle (2:15.85), sixth in the 200-yard backstroke (2:34.33), third in 200-yard medley relay, and third in the 200-yard medley relay (2:10.79).

Both combined with two others to swim 1:51.49 in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

The 2019 TFS graduates are enjoying the daily swimming and weight training workouts and look forward to the rest of the season, according to Athletic Director Scott Neal.
