TFS high school and middle school swim both take second in season opener

 
 

-Nelson Wilkinson made a state-qualifying time in the 100 yard Butterfly 

 

The season-opening swim meet at the Ruby Fulbright Aquatic Center in Clarkesville saw the TFS middle school and high school both place second overall. The high school girls and high school boys both came in second. The middle school overall finished second as well, while the girls placed first and the boys third.

Highlights include Tillie Cumley, Hannah Hickox, Dan Griswold and Nelson Wilkinson having great showings for varsity, dropping time from last season personal bests. Middle school swimmers Jedd Thomas, Frankie Pribyl and Charlie Harris also dropped time from last season personal bests.

The middle school girls 200-yard Medley Relay finished second, led by Molly Rickman, Mia Hamon, Carsyn Griffis and Olivia Henderson. Nelson Wilkinson took the runner-up spot in the HS 100-yard Butterfly, and the HS girls 200-yard Freestyle Relay (Karis Tatum, Emily Wolfe, Halle Weyrich, Tamia Moss) were also second. 

The middle school 200-yard Freestyle Relay (Carsyn Griffis, Molly Rickman, Mia Hamon, Olivia Henderson) came in second. Cole Borchers claimed the top spot for the boys 50-yard Backstroke for MS, while Hamon won the same event for the MS girls. Thomas was runner-up in the MS 50-yard Breaststroke, with Weyrich also finishing second in the 100-yard Breaststroke for the HS girls. Rickman, for the MS girls, came in second in the 50-yard Breaststroke as well.

The TFS swim teams are back in action on Saturday, November 14.
