TFS excels in second swim meet as varsity girls place third and middle school boys first

 
 

The TFS varsity and middle school swim teams did a fantastic job at their second competition of the season this past weekend. The success was highlighted by the varsity girls placing third among nine teams, while varsity boys came in ninth. The middle school boys came in first, while the girls finished third.

Many Varsity swimmers swam to personal best times in their events including Karis Tatum (100 Fly and 100 Back), Tamia Moss (100 Back), Abby Walker (50 free and 100 free), Emily Wolfe (200 Free), Tillie Crumley (200 free and 100 free), Carol Dunlap (50 free and 100 breast), Emma Jackson (200 free), Emily Smith (50 free and 100 free), Daya Ssemakula (50 free), Carter Miller (50 free and 100 back), Emery Sims (200 free and 100 back) and Trevor Bramlett (50 free).

Many middle school swimmers swam to personal best times as well. These swimmers include: Penny Damron (100 free and 50 breastroke), Carsyn Griffis (50 back and 50 breastroke), Molly Rickman (50 free and 100 free), Emily Shoemaker (100 free and 50 breastroke), Lily Turpin (50 fly and 50 back), Keira Webb (100 free and 50 back), Cole Borchers (50 fly and 50 breast), Nick Edenfield (50 breastroke and 100 free), Harry Goldfine (50 free and 50 back), Charlie Harris (100 IM and 50 Breastroke), David Plaisted (100 free and 50 breastroke), Landon Miller (50 breastroke), Jack Thomson (100 IM and 100 Free), Ethan Williams (50 back and 100 free), Zach Woodworth (100 IM and 50 Back), Olivia Henderson (50 free and 50 back) and Walker Wright (50 free and 50 back).

"We are so proud of our swimmers and their performance this past weekend," adds coach Rachel Nichols.

Top finishers for TFS included the boys middle school 200 yard medley relay, which came in first.
