TFS middle school boys basketball “A” team defeats RGNS
The middle school boys basketball "A" team from Tallulah Falls School traveled north on Jan. 9 to defeat local rival Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School.
TFS started off slow, losing the first quarter with a score of 4-6 but came on strong in the second quarter taking a 15-8 lead into halftime, according to assistant coach Anthony Cox.
“The visiting Indians finished the game with a stifling second-half defensive performance allowing only seven points en route to a 29-15 victory,” Cox said.
Eighth-grader Sam Ketch of Clarkesville led the way with 10 points to go along with six rebounds and two assists. Tanner Davis, a seventh-grader from Cornelia, also had a standout performance with six points and 12 steals.
The Indians are now 5-2 on the season, next facing conference foe Summit Charter at home on Jan. 13.
