Alexander takes top spot to highlight TFS action at North Georgia Championships

 
 

Tallulah Falls School took part in the North Georgia Championships on Saturday morning at East Jackson High School in Jefferson, with the girls placing second and boys 13th. 

 

High School Boys

The TFS boys finished in 13th place in the Varsity Group 1 event, with Grey Bourlet leading the Indians, coming in 63rd out of 114 runners. Teammate Walker Bailey (71st) ran a personal best of 19:47. TFS was without junior Evan Prince.

Other TFS runners competed in the JV event, as the Indians finished 8th among 12 teams. Charlie Cody came in 13th to pace that group of boys, which ran the 2-mile race.

High School Girls

The Tallulah Falls School girls, running in the JV division, were led on Saturday by junior Lucy Alexander, who took the top spot with a 14:54 time that was nearly 30 seconds faster than the second-place finisher. Teammate Caroline Ball finished fifth overall among 48 runners in the division. Dani Prince placed 10th to put three Lady Indians in the top 10. The team placed second in the event.
