Tallulah Falls School has named its first Indians of the Month winners, for August 2020. The winners for August are Abby Carlan and Walker Bailey for the high school, and Gemma Farris and Jason Bard for the middle school.

Abby Carlan

Volleyball - High School Girl

Abby Carlan has been playing solid since the season started. She has had a great hitting percentage and has been our strongest, and most consistent blocker. Not only has she helped us in the skills category but her desire to win and competitive spirit has been visible to all. -coach Matt Heyl

Walker Bailey

Cross Country - High School Boy

Sophomore harrier Walker Bailey ran and lifted all summer, diligently training to reach team and individual goals. He ran more two-a-days than anyone and still doubles at least once weekly.  It's this type of discipline to not just dream but to give those dreams shoes that have developed Walker into a budding talent, a team stalwart, and an increasing force on the team and in the region. Over the last two decades of TFS XC, Walker is diligently becoming one of the top handful of harriers who epitomize the intricacies of the sport as well as preparing for earned success. -coach Scott Neal

Gemma Farris

Volleyball - Middle School Girl

Newcomer eighth grader Gemma Farris is our IOM. Gemma has really stepped up over the last several weeks both athletically and in a leadership role. Gemma contributes to the overall success of our team and program. She made an immediate impact on our performance as well as morale once she was able to suit up again. She is a tenacious competitor and excellent teammate. -coach Whittney LaHayne

Jason Bard

Cross Country - Middle School Boy

Newcomer eighth grader Jason Bard has been an exceptional contributor to his new team. He has an interesting spectrum of abilities in that he is both a golfer and a runner; each seems to help the other in regards to mental toughness and focus. Jason is a role model in work ethic, teamness, and competitiveness. He has finished in at least the top half of all three races so far. He practices with determination and discipline and is always the first to help anyone with anything! -coach Scott Neal
