Boys and girls tennis move to 2-0 after 4-1 wins over Franklin

Traveling to Franklin County for the season's second match, the TFS middle school tennis teams both moved to 2-0 with identical 4-1 wins for the boys and girls.

"Although our long weekend break proved to be a few less touches on the tennis ball, we were able to top Franklin," says coach Lisa Wilcox.

For the boys, #1 singles player Tanner Davis had his first loss of the season, falling 4-8 to a very tough opponent.

"With lots of composure and confidence, the rest of the team were able to keep control and win at the rest of the positions," says Wilcox.

The girls won all except at #2 doubles in a hard-fought 6-8 battle.

The boys and girls both move to 2-0 on the young season, and return to the court on Monday, September 14 against rivals Rabun Gap Nacoochee at home, with the first serve slated for 4:30 pm.
