Middle school girls tennis wins Southern Mountain League championship

Tallulah Falls School middle school girls tennis finished their 2020 season without fault, beating Franklin County 5-0 and Rabun Gap 4-1 in the championship. It completed a 9-0 perfect record for the girls, and marked a repeat as champions of the league.

"This is the second year for this league and the second league championship that these young ladies have brought home," says coach Lisa Wilcox. "They have practiced hard and dedicated themselves to getting better, and boy did they do that. I am very proud of what they have accomplished on the courts and how they have represented our school."

TFS beat Franklin County 5-0 on Thursday in the semifinals to secure a spot in the title match. All told, the girls dropped only four games in the overall match win. In the title match, TFS saw all three singles players again come out with wins to pave the way.
