Indians of the Month - January 2021
Tallulah Falls School has named its Indians of the Month winners for January 2021. The winners are Denika Lightbourne and Anfernee Hanna for the high school, and Breelyn Wood and Chase Pollock for the middle school. PAST INDIANS OF THE MONTH
Denika Lightbourne - Basketball
High School Girl
Last week, Denika Lightbourne led the Lady Indians with 17 points and nine rebounds in their home win over #10 ranked Athens Academy. She also led the team with 22 points the next night at Landmark Christian as the Lady Indians defeated Landmark 67-52. Averaging 16.0, six rebounds, and two steals over the three-game stretch, Denika was 11 for 14 from the free-throw line (78.6%) during the last three contests. Denika put her two best back-to-back games this season together this weekend and helped the Lady Indians secure a tie for first places going into this last week of region play. We are proud of the consistency and leadership Denika displayed this past Friday and Saturday and are excited about what the month of February holds for her and the Lady Indians Basketball Program.

Anfernee Hanna - Basketball
High School Boy
Anfernee Hanna helped the Indians secure multiple region victories last week with two key performances. Against Loganville Christian, Anfernee scored 12 points and grabbed 18 rebounds, the highest number of rebounds ever recorded by a TFS basketball player within the last ten seasons. Anfernee continued filling up the stat line in the next region game vs. Athens Academy with 11 points, 8 rebounds, and a team-high 3 steals.

Breelyn Wood - Basketball
Middle School Girl
January has been an impressive month for Breelyn and the Lady Indians. Breelyn stepped up her game vs Stephens with 7 first half points to keep the game close. In the championship game, Breelyn hit buckets early and played great defense to help push her team to an 11-0 season and become the tri-state champions for the 2nd consecutive year.

Chase Pollock - Basketball
Middle School Boy
Chase is the most competitive player on the team. He has GREAT character and each day is very intense. He enters the game when instant energy is needed. Sometimes, players contribute more than points. However, against Stephens County, Chase made a 3-point basket at a key moment in the game that shifted the momentum of the team. In the final game of the season Chase came through once more with a timely three point shot that sealed the win against rival Rabun Gap.
