Lady Indians take win over Rabun in Monday action

The TFS tennis teams traveled to Rabun County on Monday for a final tune-up before the region tournament. The girls came out with a close win, while the boys dropped their match.

GIRLS

The TFS Lady Indians won their fourth straight match with a 4-1 win at Rabun. The previous meeting with their close-by opponents was also by a 3-2 score.

#2 Singles - Gigi Welch (9-4) W 8-4
#3 Singles - Evette Corwin (9-4) W 8-1
#1 Doubles - Ashli Webb/Sophie Herrera (8-4) W 7-5
#2 Doubles - Cassidy Hayes/Annabelle Jackson (9-3) W 8-5
 

The girls are now 8-5 overall and remain 3-2 in region play ahead of Tuesday's tournament.

BOYS

The Indians fell 0-1 at Rabun County.

EXHIBITION - Tanner Davis (1-0) W 8-4
EXHIBITION - TJ Cox (0-1) L 4-8
EXHIBITION - Aiden & Everett VanOrman (3-1) W 9-7

The boys are now 1-11-1 overall and 1-4 in region play.
