Boys third, girls sixth in Cherokee Bluff 'Last Chance Invite'

 
 

The TFS track and field teams took part in the Last Chance Invite at Cherokee Bluff on Friday. The Lady Indians came in sixth among eight teams, while the boys finished third.

The following athletes posted top-three finishes individually.

  • 4x800 Relay (Girls) - 2nd
  • Julianne Shirley - 1st in High Jump
  • Lucy Ladd - 2nd in Long Jump
  • Charlie Cody - 1st in 400 M
  • Evan Prince - 1st in 800 M
  • Grey Bourlet - 1st in 110 MH & 2nd in 300 MH & 1st in Pole Vault 
  • 4x400 Relay (Boys) - 2nd 
  • 4x800 Relay (Boys) - 2nd 
  • Simeon Respress - 1st in High Jump & 1st in Long Jump

The highlights include Prince's record-breaking 800 time, a two-second PR that re-wrote the TFS record book. Others who put up personal bests include Alba Romanos Gracia, Shelby Brightwell, Nana Amankwah, Julianne Shirley, George Ketch, Miranda Chapa, 4x800 Relay (Girls), Kailyn Neal, Caroline Ball, Grey Bourlet and Charlie Cody.
